Geoffrey Gordon's chamber work for tenor trombone and piano, Vermilion, inspired by the painting of the same name by Henri Matisse (1869-1954), will be featured during the Central Washington University New Music Festival, in a performance by trombone soloist John Neurohr and pianist Giyong Ahn.
